Routine consignments
Standard orders ship by air freight or express courier depending on size, value and urgency. Routing options and their cost implications are stated in the quotation rather than applied afterwards.
AOG consignments
Where an aircraft is on ground, routing is chosen to reach the aircraft rather than to optimise freight cost, and the choice is made with you rather than for you.
Documentation
Shipments are accompanied by the commercial documents and the airworthiness release documentation for the article. Where the receiving organisation requires specific paperwork, state it in the request so it is prepared correctly the first time.
Packing
Brake and wheel components are packed to protect sealing surfaces, bearing fits and friction faces in transit. Where a manufacturer specifies a pack quantity, it is stated in the quotation.
